Your dog is a chewer.  You have wasted your money on many a so called indestructible dog bed.  I hear you loud and clear!  My dog can reduce anything made of fabric or even rugs to pieces in less than an hour.  If there is a zipper on the bed cover then that is her first place to start taking it apart.  Nothing makes her happier than getting to that fluffy stuffing inside and pulling it out bit by bit.

Some people say that a dog does this destructive behavior because they are bored or suffering from seperation anxiety, well that may be so for some dogs but not mine.  She has toys (see indestructible dog toys for that one!), company (I work from home) and at least two good walks a day.  I am sure she destroys anything stuffed just for the sheer fun of it.

So, does an indestructible dog bed really exist?  Well, after much trial and error and reading the various dog forums on the subject I have come up with only one brand that is truly indestructible - Kuranda.  My dog has absolutely no interest in taking this bed apart and just really enjoys sleeping on it.  They are great because you can use them outside too.  If your dog is a digger then an outdoor bed really curbs their desire to dig a nice cool hole to lie in plus you get the added bonus of less dirt being tracked into your home!

The Coolaroo and Kuranda dog beds are both high quality chew-proof products that I can recommend as we have the metal frame for our dog but from what I’ve read, the PVC frame is great too.  I really hope this helps you find the indestructible dog bed that your dog will finally just sleep on!
